Role: Assistant Property Manager - South Region

Location: South

Malmaison and Hotel du Vin have 37 boutique hotels across the UK. This position supports 19 properties in the North Region, from Birmingham to Brighton, with regular travel between sites and potentially to other regions based on business needs.

We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property & Development team. This role involves overseeing operational and maintenance activities, vendor management, compliance with safety standards, supporting budgets, and promoting sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily property operations, including maintenance support, hotel visits, and safety protocols.
  • Support the Property Manager in leading Maintenance Managers and their teams.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely service and contractual compliance.
  • Monitor property expenditure, track budgets, and identify cost efficiencies.
  • Conduct property inspections and audits for health, safety, and building regulation compliance.
  • Support initiatives on energy efficiency, waste management, and ESG activities, including data collection and reporting.
  • Coordinate property projects, repairs, and renovations with contractors and internal teams.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and inspections, providing updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience in property or maintenance management in hospitality preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of construction, Hard FM, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, CAFM, and compliance portals.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Willingness to travel nationally.
