Here at Signet Jewelers, owners of UK retail jewellery brands Ernest Jones and H.Samuel, we have a wonderful opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Retail and Property Analyst. This is a hybrid contract, with 2 days per week in our Birmingham Store Support Centre and 3 days from home.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for those aiming to build a career in Finance. Retail Finance plays a pivotal role in driving value through business decisions, making relationship-building with business partners essential. The successful candidate should understand broader company objectives.

About The Role

• Generate accurate weekly trading reports.
• Manage ad-hoc queries from retail and finance management regarding KPIs, sales, and costs.
• Prepare monthly store targets and resolve related queries.
• Perform sales and cost analysis, including reconciliations for interest-free credit.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for store and support centre costs.
• Analyze property legal costs monthly with property and legal teams.
• Produce store petty cash reports and analysis.
• Assist in preparing quarterly Store P&Ls for all locations.
• Develop financial forecasts, updating for evolving requirements.

About You

• Likely studying management accounting (part-qualified) or a graduate with some commercial experience.
• Good communication skills, able to explain finance to non-financial managers.
• Some experience with management accounts is desirable.
• Highly numerate, confident, and passionate about business.
