We're now recruiting for a Assistant Property Accountant to join us at Head Office in Canary Wharf!

At present, we're managing 11,000 homes across 12 luxury residential developments in London and are in search of a Assistant Property Accountant to join us at Head Office in contributing to our vision.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in Property looking to progress their career in service charge accounts.

Important to note

Hours of work: 40 per week, 08:30am - 17:30pm Monday to Friday

Location: E14, Canary Wharf

Salary: Competitive, do be discussed during application process

What you'll be doing

  • To support the Senior Property Accountant in maintaining the accounting records for their appointed schemes under management.
  • To support the preparation of annual service charge budgets, the loading of these onto the property management system (Propman) and issuing demands to leaseholders.
  • To reconcile service charge demands, including voids and freeholder liabilities, to budget to ensure completeness of income.
  • To add new and existing leaseholder information, and adjustments, to Propman as required.
  • To update and change any Service charge or Ground rent amounts relating to Property transfers and sales.
  • To ensure all charges are made on leaseholder accounts for any consents required.
  • To support the production of quarterly service charge budget versus actual reports to internal and external Stakeholders.
  • To support the on-site development teams with Propman system and purchase order best practice, invoice coding, expense forms and requests for payment.
  • To support the annual service charge review at year end. Aiding with answering audit queries and checking for all invoices against expenditure before providing them to the external accountants.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Must have an interest and experience in the property management sector and be able to engage with colleagues in an effective manner and support colleagues as required.
  • Must be competent with accounting software packages and knowledge of Propman, or any other property management software would be an advantage.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Must act in a professional manner in interactions with all staff and external clients.
