The Opportunity

Lining into the UK Head of Property, you will play a significant role in the planning, managing and coordination of all new store and office openings across the UK. You will support the Head of Property on the roll out of all new across the UK, engaging with Sephora EME central team and third parties to review & select consultants, contractors, and suppliers to support the delivery of an ambitious rollout program of openings across the UK.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive strategic planning on store layout design and construction feasibility and deliver continuous improvement in construction standards to the Group. There is a strong emphasis on day-to-day management of the consultant and construction partners in this role, to ensure compliance with Sephora design and build standards, and to deliver stores with high quality finish within budget and on time.You will provide support in maintaining all properties in line with lease requirements and ensuring all office locations are fit for purpose as the Group anticipates a period of growth and change.

What You'll Do

  • Help prepare all necessary documents for tendering a competitive tendering process.
  • Support with preparing & maintain records of all costings and budgets.
  • Manage the projects construction programme to ensure works are delivered on time.
  • Support on the review and approval of all drawing submissions prior to work commencement. Ensure construction detailing methodology meets design objective.
  • Oversee and review contractor progress reports to ensure construction is aligned with the programme.
  • Support in raising multiple direct orders and ensuring they are within the allocated budgets set.
  • Coordinates and attends weekly meetings and project kick off meetings. Takes minutes and distributes minutes and updates. milestone reports. Reviews project requirements and prepares internal questions / other items for discussion / clarification.
  • Support project and corporate accounting effort through the processing of contractor/supplier invoices.
  • Support the Head of Property with the central design team on store design.
  • Support with the development or improving technical detail on store design And materials.
  • Support and track submissions, approvals to Landlords and their technical departments, ensure Landlord design guidelines are being issued.
  • Work closely with the architects & consultants to ensure contractors do not deviate from the design intent and detailing.
  • Support with the handover and aftercare of all new stores. Ensure all handovers are coordinated with the retail team.
  • Work with consultants to ensure all certification is completed ahead of practical completion, to obtain the certification to trade.
  • Develop snag list upon completion review with contractor and architect. Ensure all defects are completed and documented.
  • QA/QC inspection completion to ensure quality is to the correct high standards.
  • Support the Head of Property and Retail Ops Manager with maintenance and defect periods.
  • Support with the administration of the construction contract (JCT contracts).
  • Ownership and updating of the property information system.
  • Ensure all directs are coordinated and installed on time.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in managing projects across the UK.
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts and the associated procurement routes.
  • Able to travel (at times with short notice) & for periods of time
  • Strong background in knowledge of retail project fit out and project management.
  • Self starter with high level of personal accountability
  • Good understanding of a variety of interior design materials, finishings, lighting, details, etc
  • Ability to operate AutoCAD and in-depth understanding of construction drawings
  • Diploma / Degree in Architecture / Construction Management /Project management (or equivalent experience)
  • Cost and risk averse with strong experience in project governance.
  • The ability to work across multiple projects at once
