The Optimization & Transformation team is a group of highly motivated people with a passion for driving optimization & continuous improvement across our journal publishing processes and workflows. We are responsible for managing projects that steer operational efficiencies and business transformation across the global research publishing department. We collaborate with cross-functional business teams to support the department in the delivery of our strategic goals, in enhancing productivity and growth, and driving the success and long-term sustainability of our high-quality journals program.   • An advanced user in the use of the Microsoft 365 suite of tools, in particular Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint?

Your new role:

The Assistant Project Manager will be supporting the management of project intake, assisting in the continuous improvement of editorial processes, and leading on projects focused on information management and team best practice.

  • Collaborating with project leads and process owners to develop project plans, timelines, and reporting frameworks, tracking project progress, milestones, and deliverables, and reporting on status to stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the creation and upkeep of project briefs, governance registers, status reports, and meeting actions. Maintaining project files, records, and databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility
  • Preparing and distributing team communications and regularly updating stakeholders on project status, risks and issues.
  • Supporting the ongoing maintenance of established processes in conjunction with process owners.
  • Helping to organize and facilitate process improvement workshops and training sessions, and monitoring process performance.
  • Handling essential administrative tasks that support the Optimization and Transformation Team and organizing, building, and managing team resources and shared materials.
