Job summary

Sphere Solutions Bristol is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a specialist contractor delivering commercial developments across the UK. You will work alongside the project management team, supporting planning, procurement and on-site coordination from design through handover.

You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, work with experienced managers, and develop the skills needed to progress into a Project Manager role within a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Some construction industry exposure and a willingness to develop a career in project management.
• Understanding of construction drawings and how projects are delivered.
• Familiarity with RAMS, health and safety documentation and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, programming and progress monitoring.
• Prepare and update CAD drawings and technical documentation.
• Produce RAMS and method statements.
• Review drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Coordinate materials, procurement, deliveries and site resources.
• Liaise with main contractors, clients, suppliers and site teams.
• Support subcontractor coordination and installation activities.
• Monitor project costs, variations and budgets.
• Maintain project records and prepare progress reports.
• Help resolve technical issues and maintain programme.
