Job summary

Amey is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in London, delivering and maintaining project management reporting documents and supporting contract and client requirements.

You will work under the direction of senior staff, assist in programme development, cost and resource reporting, and contribute to the governance and delivery of TfL-related projects within a consulting engineering environment, while developing professional PM skills and working with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, project management, finance, etc.
• Associate membership of the Association for Project Management and/or PFQ or equivalent is desirable.
• Understanding of project management principles and best practices, gained through experience.
• Previous experience delivering projects for TfL or within a TfL-regulated environment would be advantageous.
• Basic Commercial Awareness
• Basic understanding of Health, Safety and Welfare, including specific regulations
• Ability to produce reports to a good standard
• Basic understanding of the interfaces between tasks in a programme.
• Moving towards being capable of supervising more junior staff undertaking similar tasks

Responsibilities

• To work in a team, assisting in the production and monitoring of project management reporting documents, complying with all relevant contract and client requirements
• Assist with the delivery of weekly project management documents associated with financial, resource or time related reporting.
• Support the development of programmes (tasks, resource and cost associated) with service delivery on account.
• Support Delivery Management Team on cost/ fee governance assurance on the account
• The individual will form a relationship with representatives of the project management professional body to ensure career development .
• General office duties associated with the smooth running of a consulting engineering business.
