Job summary

Brandon James Ltd are recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to join our healthcare team in Hertfordshire. You will support senior colleagues through inception to completion on healthcare schemes, liaising with clients, consultants and contractors to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate has construction consultancy experience, a degree in a relevant discipline and is progressing towards MRICS/MAPM. This role offers clear progression to Project Manager within a supportive Hertfordshire

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a construction consultancy environment.
• Experience supporting healthcare or similar complex projects.
• Experience working in live operational environments is beneficial.
• Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or related discipline.
• Progress towards MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or similar qualification.
• Good understanding of JCT contracts and project delivery.
• Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional and proactive approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of healthcare projects from inception through to completion.
• Attend client and site meetings; monitor actions and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with programme management, procurement support, contract administration, and project reporting.
• Develop ownership of workstreams and smaller commissions as experience grows.

A growing construction consultancy in Hertfordshire is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its expanding healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager with construction consultancy experience to build their career while working on a strong pipeline of healthcare projects.

The Assistant Project Manager will support senior colleagues with the delivery of healthcare schemes from inception through to completion. This Assistant Project Manager role would suit an organised and ambitious Assistant Project Manager who is comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and wants to gain greater responsibility on complex projects. The successful Assistant Project Manager will join a supportive team with excellent opportunities to develop their technical, contractual, and client-facing skills.

The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of healthcare projects across Hertfordshire and the surrounding region, including projects within live and operational environments.

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with programme management, consultant coordination, procurement support, contract administration, project reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication. They will attend client and site meetings, monitor project actions, maintain project documentation, and liaise with consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

As their experience develops, the Assistant Project Manager will take on greater ownership of project workstreams and smaller commissions while continuing to receive support from experienced senior colleagues.

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:
