Job summary

Brandon James is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support across commercial, hospitality and residential projects, providing early involvement from feasibility through procurement, construction and completion.

The role offers progression to Project Manager with mentorship from Directors and exposure to diverse schemes. A relevant degree and prior consultancy experience are required to develop towards MRICS chartership.

Qualifications

• Previous Project Management experience within a construction consultancy.
• A relevant construction/property degree, such as Project Management, Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying
• Experience or exposure to commercial, hospitality and/or residential projects
• An understanding of the construction project lifecycle
• Ambition to achieve MRICS or another relevant professional qualification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive approach to learning and career development
• Confidence working with clients and multidisciplinary project teams

An established construction consultancy is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join their team and work across commercial, hospitality and residential projects. The opportunity would suit an Assistant Project Manager who has gained initial consultancy experience and now wants greater responsibility, stronger project exposure and structured professional development.

The successful Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of projects throughout their lifecycle, working closely with experienced Project Managers and Directors. As the Assistant Project Manager develops, they will be given opportunities to take ownership of smaller projects with assistance while supporting Directors on larger schemes. The consultancy wants to help the Assistant Project Manager progress towards RICS chartership and successfully supported an Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager through chartership last year.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support projects across the commercial, hospitality and residential sectors, assisting with project coordination from early feasibility and design stages through procurement, construction and completion.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include attending client and project meetings, preparing reports and programmes, coordinating consultants, monitoring actions and project progress, supporting procurement and helping ensure projects are delivered against agreed time, cost and quality objectives.

With experience, the Assistant Project Manager will take increasing responsibility for smaller projects while continuing to assist Directors on larger and more complex commissions.
