This Assistant Project Manager role will be part of the Commercial Function, supporting the Central Commercial Team with activities such as Continuous Improvement, System Implementation, and Central Reporting. This role is ideal for someone looking to strengthen their commercial experience or grow into a broader commercial role.
What will you be doing as our new Assistant Project Manager?You will ensure project delivery on time, safely, and sustainably. You will also focus on driving efficiency and outperformance without compromising governance and delivery standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring project timelines and budgets, proactively managing risks and opportunities.
- Visiting sites to gather information and creating reports and presentations that support project milestones.
- Promoting sustainability principles in design and construction, focusing on energy use, carbon emissions, waste reduction, and supply chain management.
- Managing contract requirements related to design, construction, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Supporting project close-out processes to meet client requirements and facilitate final account completion.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to improve project delivery and resolve challenges.
About your skills, experience, and behaviors...You should have experience in delivering projects or coordinating complex tasks, with a willingness to travel regionally. Construction industry experience and a desire to develop a career in the commercial field are advantageous.
You should be able to build strong relationships, work collaboratively, and take accountability. Proficiency with IT programs, resilience, and focus under pressure are important qualities.
