Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a multi-billion construction transformation programme in Essex. You will work alongside the Project Manager to drive delivery of complex civils construction projects, coordinating across design, construction, and delivery phases.

The role requires experience in regulated industries, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage contractors, consultants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within complex civil engineering or construction programmes.
• Practical experience of working through construction stages of major projects.
• Understanding of project controls, risk management, progress reporting and change management.
• Experience gained within a highly regulated industry, such as airports, rail, nuclear or water.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Good understanding of construction processes, governance and compliance requirements.
