We are delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to join the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Coordinating Centre. This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting out in project management, with a passion for planning, organising and making an impact.

Our research helps turn discoveries into new or improved treatments, diagnostics, medical technologies and services. What will you be doing?

Role

In this role, you will support the development, planning and implementation of projects and initiatives within the Southampton Coordinating Centre and across the wider NIHR. Key tasks include:

  1. Producing, updating and managing project documentation to ensure smooth delivery and decision-making.
  2. Assisting with clear and effective communications, such as reports, presentations and updates for key stakeholders.
  3. Coordinating and servicing meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on actions.
  4. Providing administrative support for projects, including monitoring of project plans and documentation, tracking deadlines and conducting background research.
This role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to project management tools and methods, offering a solid foundation for your career.
