Job summary

A fast-growing UK energy firm is seeking a Delivery Project Manager to lead the execution of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. Responsibilities include managing project delivery from financial closure to handover, overseeing budgets and contractor compliance, and coordinating various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy sector, strong project management skills, and effective communication abilities.

OXBO are partnered with a fast-growing UK IPP delivering utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking for a Delivery Project Manager.

As Delivery Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading projects from financial close through to O&M handover.

What you will be doing:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers etc.
• Oversee EPC contractors to ensure compliance with contractual scope.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants across multiple work streams.
• Engage with landowners, stakeholders, and local communities.
• Conduct site visits and attend external meetings/events.
• Monitor and verify commissioning processes (FAT/SAT/SIT).
• Prepare reports for senior leadership and board-level review.
• General support of the delivery team and aiding in continuous improvement of delivery processes.

What you will bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in renewables, energy infrastructure, or BESS projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles (PMP or PRINCE2 desirable).
• Experience working with contractors, landowners, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with planning tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
• Knowledge of grid connections and UK energy infrastructure (desirable).
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
