Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to work on our Southern Water frameworks, reporting in to our East Regional Office in Maidstone.

You will be expected to travel to HQ at least once a month for project reviews and visit client sites on a regular basis.

This role would suit a project engineer looking to take the next steps in to a project management capacity.

  • Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects
  • Creation and management of the appropriate Project Documentation
  • Control project expenditure
  • Close liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders
  • Work within a monthly project reporting structure
  • Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment
  • Effectively manage the O&M outputs of the projects and to programme deadlines

Requirements

Requirements

  • Project experience within water, construction or industrial industries
  • APM - Willingness to undertake Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
  • Excellent client engagement and communication skills
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
  • Experience in using planning software such as Microsoft Project
  • Full UK driving license; driving to client sites will be part of this role

Desirable

  • Appropriate trade qualification
  • Previous experience within the water industry
