Job summary

A global energy leader based in London is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee technical project management for onshore wind, solar, and energy storage projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requirements include a university degree in engineering and experience in project management within the renewable energy sector. This position offers a salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Up to 5 years of experience in project management for electricity related construction.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince II) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.

Assistant Project Manager

Overview

My client is a global leader in the build and supply of energy from onshore renewable projects. They are currently looking to hire and Assistant Project Manager to provide technical project management for Onshore Wind, Solar and BESS projects from contract signature/Final Investment Approval to completion, helping to ensure delivery on time, on budget and within agreed scope.

Experience

The job holder will have:

  • Experience in project management of electricity related construction projects (up to 5 years).
  • Experience in UK/Ireland Onshore Wind, Solar PV or BESS construction projects is an advantage.
  • Experience with EPC/FIDIC procurement processes and resolution of ongoing contractual issues.
  • Experience of working in a construction environment and control of the associated health and safety risks.
  • A desire to work in a fast moving and growing business to deliver the expected business outcomes.
Knowledge and Skills

The job holder will have:

  • Detailed understanding of project management for electricity related construction projects.
  • Understanding of EPC,FIDIC (or equivalent) structures and tendering processes.
  • Experience in use of Procore is an advantage.
  • Understanding of operational and maintenance requirements of Onshore Wind, Solar PV or BESS systems and equipment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and equivalent Irish regulations.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince II, MBA) is an advantage.
