Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
Salary: APM £25,000-35,000 PM from 35,000 upward, Based on Experience

Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager Job Vacancy Winchester, Hampshire. Our client are seeking an Assistant Project Manager or a Project Manager for a position based in their offices in Winchester This job vacancy is for a Multidisciplinary Construction Consultancy, so our client is keen to find a candidate with Construction Consultancy experience for this position.

Role and Requirements

Please note: At Assistant Level you will not be expected to have the same level of experience but if you meet some of the criteria below, we would be keen to hear from you

  • A Project Management candidate who is working towards chartered status is highly desirable for this position MCIOB qualification or equivalent professional qualification, such as MRICS or MAPM
  • Degree Qualified in a Construction related Subject.
  • Circa 2 years post qualification experience ( for the Assistant PM Vacancy) or a minimum of 5 years ( for the Project Manager Winchester position) with a consultancy organisation.
  • Ability to set project direction aligned with business goals, inspire teams, and drive performance across multiple projects.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and maximising profitability while delivering quality.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and resolving issues before they impact timelines or budgets.
  • Proficient in managing various contract forms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC, etc.) and ensuring the commercial success of projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage complex project timelines, ensuring milestone achievement.
  • Ensures projects adhere to regulatory standards, health & safety requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Capable of leading through change—whether in scope, schedule, or resources—while maintaining team focus and morale.
  • Clear, concise communicator with ability to report progress, challenges, and strategies to leadership and clients.
  • To lead, develop and assist with the provision of project management services; including technical advice, pre and post contract project management services.
  • Experienced in the use of Project Management software such as Asta power Project or MS Project

Salary & Benefits

Salary - Assistant Project Manager £25,000- £35,000

Salary- Project Manager £35,000 upward+ per annum, dependent upon experience.
