Job summary

Tayside Contracts is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer in Scotland to work with a Project Engineer to coordinate and control civil engineering contracts, including roads maintenance. You will supervise staff, allocate plant, and assist in planning construction programmes and safety plans.

Applicants should have SVQ Level 3 in Civil/Building Engineering or related field and proven experience in financial management, managing job cost ledgers. A Category B driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil/Building Engineering or a relevant subject area.
Proven experience of financial management (responsible for job cost ledgers).
Good written and verbal communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and control small to medium sized roads maintenance contracts and other civil engineering contracts.
Supervise/manage employees and allocate plant.
Assist in planning and preparation of construction works programmes and development of project Health and Safety plans.
Experience in the Construction Industry managing small to medium civil engineering contracts.
