Northern Kentucky University's (NKU) School of Allied Health, in the College of Health and Human Services, is seeking a Radiation Therapy Educator for the full-time position of Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Bachelor of Science Radiation Therapy Program. In addition to teaching, this person is directly responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of curricular goals and objectives of the program while maintaining full accreditation through the JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology). NKU, a growing metropolitan university located 7 miles from Cincinnati, is a university known to its faculty and students for its commitment to student success and one that strives to empower diverse learners for economic and social mobility.


Requirements for this position include a current registered Radiation Therapist R.T.(T) credential and current Kentucky state license, or eligibility. Experience in teaching and clinical practice is required. This is a 9-month tenure track faculty position with appointment at the rank of assistant professor. This position will require scholarly productivity to meet the requirements for tenure. Service and commitment to the program, the College of Health & Human Services and the University through contribution on various committees when needed is also a requirement of the position.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:


* Teach a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester, as assigned, some of which may be off-campus at area clinical sites.
* Accountable for the overall processes and outcomes of the B.S. Radiation Therapy program.
* Responsible for the structure and daily operation of the program, including organization, administration, periodic program review, outcomes assessment and evaluation
* Perform course development and work continuously towards maintaining contemporary curricula or developing new curriculum.
* Coordinate student recruitment, selection, guidance, instruction, and evaluation.
* Organize and manage the community advisory committee for the program.
* Work with the program's Clinical Coordinator to establish and maintain, effective working relationships with Radiation Therapy staff at various clinical site locations
* Provide direction and guidance for advancing the University's core values, including excellence, innovation, and inclusiveness with a focus on student belonging, retention and graduation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:


The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field and a degree in Radiation Therapy from an approved school of Radiation Therapy. A doctoral degree in a related field is preferred but not required. The preferred candidate will have 5 years of professional clinical experience and 3 years of educational experience, preferably as a program director with proven experience related to JRCERT accreditation.
