We are seeking to appoint a full-time Associate Professor in Exercise Physiology who will contribute at a senior level to research, education, and administration. The role holder will demonstrate excellent academic citizenship through respectful and supportive relationships with staff and students.
We welcome applications from individuals involved in exercise physiology research in sport, health, and/or rehabilitation. We value applicants who can articulate how their research informs their teaching and who have a strong record of research outputs and impacts.
You will join a vibrant multi-disciplinary academic community with excellent research and teaching facilities. We collaborate with sporting organizations and clinical centers of excellence, with a focus on extending our research impact to the communities we serve. An example is our recently launched Centre for Movement and Wellbeing.
The role is based in Edgbaston. Key duties include delivering lectures and seminars, supervising students, course development, participating in examinations, conducting innovative research, publishing papers, and obtaining research funding.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, postdoctoral experience, and a track record in higher education teaching. We seek individuals who will contribute to our research portfolio and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
