GPW Recruitment partners with a manufacturing business in St Helens to recruit an experienced Assistant Production Manager. You will support the Production Manager, oversee production departments and drive continuous improvement while upholding quality and safety standards.

Formación

• Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading production teams and shifts.
• Knowledge of TPM, 5S and World Class Manufacturing principles.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Production Manager with day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Oversee production departments, ensuring schedules and targets are achieved.
• Lead and develop Shift Controllers and Process Leaders.
• Monitor production KPIs, efficiency and operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead 5S activities.
• Champion health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure operators follow SOPs, risk assessments and company procedures.
• Participate in accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support production reporting, MIS data and departmental budgeting.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and auditing.
• Lead production-related customer complaint investigations.
• Support TPM and World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
• Manage employee performance, training and development.
