Assistant Production Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join a well-established team. Our client is a global leader in the food manufacturing industry. This is a great opportunity, offering stability and the chance to grow within an expanding company. The role is hands-on, working on the shop floor.

This will be a temp-perm role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead and manage team leaders and oversee shopfloor staff
• Set and manage production targets
• Collaborate with other Team Leaders and Shift Managers for smooth operations
• Support team development through training and upskilling
• Conduct safety and food safety investigations as needed
• Manage team performance through regular reviews and support improvement initiatives
• Responsible for issuing and ensuring production plans are met
• Organize staffing to cover holidays and absences effectively
• Oversee daily and weekly staffing, performance, and KPIs

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a production management role
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Previous leadership experience in a similar role

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: GBP 19+ per hour, depending on experience
