Assistant Production Manager
  • Location: Ross on Wye
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £32,000 - £35,000


Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage, train, and monitor the performance of the supervising team and seasonal staff.
  • Oversee production jobs from growing to harvest.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day logistics of work teams.
  • Conduct training inductions for new employees.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety.
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • Ensure fruit quality control during harvest.
  • Adapt to fluctuating work hours during the busy harvest season, including long hours and weekend work.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in soft fruit production (harvest or growing) is essential; however, full training will be provided.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Proven experience managing groups of people.
  • Innovative thinking and a positive approach.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of Russian or Bulgarian would be advantageous but is not required.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK long term and possess a full clean driving licence.
