Our client, a well-established and fast-paced production business based in Ashford, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to provide maternity cover on the day shift.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a dynamic environment where you'll support daily production operations and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and team performance.

What you ll be doing:

• Support the day-to-day running of the production floor
• Lead and motivate staff to meet targets
• Maintain quality control and compliance with food safety standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency
• Ensure accurate inventory and production records
• Liaise across teams and departments to ensure smooth workflow

What we re looking for:

• Minimum 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role
• Background in production; food import/export industry ideal
• Confident communicator and problem solver
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory systems
