Job description

Our multi award-winning YouTube channel The Overlap is growing, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Producer with a strong work ethic to join us on a 12-month fixed term basis in our Manchester office.

Reporting to the Producer, this would be a great position for someone who has great sports knowledge with a particular focus on cricket, strong editorial instincts and a desire to grow within the sports media industry.

What you’ll be doing…

• Supporting the Producer with the everyday running of the production.
• Building running orders and researching stats and archive to support storytelling.
• Collaborating with the editorial, production and social teams to plan and deliver engaging and accurate cricket content.
• Remaining current with cricket news, events, players and trends to inform production decisions.
• Assisting with Audio uploads.
• Working with the production team to ensure all post production paperwork is accurate and complete.

• We’d love you to have experience in a similar role and have excellent English writing skills.

• You have passion for sports broadcasting with a particular focus on cricket.
• You’re a strong all-rounder with experience in either producing shoots, editing with Adobe Premier, can shoot using Sony cameras or ideally a combination of all three!
• You have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• You’re confident working in edits in a fast-paced and invigorating environment.
