Job description

An Assistant Producer is required to support the Producer for 10 days between August 2025 until the show is presented in Spring 2026.

The Gaze - you, me, us and them is an interactive film installation and a live Kathak solo performance, accompanied with live music, created by Himadri Madan.

We work flexibly and remotely, so we require people who can get on with work independently, but ask questions when they need to.
The role of Producer is varied and includes fundraising, company management, tour management, HR, marketing, bookkeeping, advocacy, advising on creative aspects, networking and seeking new opportunities.

The Assistant will gain experience of a production, meet all company members, get a feel for the logistics and costs of touring, as well as being given responsibility of leading on tasks. At the end of the contract, the Assistant be in a position where they have the skills and experience to support a small company, as well as having wider connections to call on from other professionals in a similar field.

You will need to have access to your own computer. The Company does not have a physical office space. The Producer will arrange to work closely with the Assistant Producer at a mutually agreed times.

Payment:
Fixed fee of £2000 to cover 10 days’ work, inclusive of holiday pay. This is a freelance contract, so you will be responsible for paying your own NI and tax. Travel expenses will be covered by The Company.
