Job description

NHS Highland is seeking to recruit an Assistant Procurement Officer to work as part of a team providing an effective and efficient supplies service to NHS Highland. The role involves purchasing a range of goods and services supporting healthcare provision.

The post holder will support efficient purchasing, contract implementation, tendering, and eProcurement administration in compliance with public procurement legislation.

Key responsibilities include encouraging stakeholder engagement, developing customer and supplier relationships, and providing technical procurement support across NHS Highland.

Experience in procurement or purchasing is desirable but not essential. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
