Sector: Housing / Public Sector

Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom

Salary & Package: £40,000 + 25 days holiday (increasing to 30) + private healthcare + additional benefits

Sea Global is partnering with a respected UK procurement consortium that delivers value and cost savings for housing associations and local councils through smart procurement practices.

We are supporting the growth of this procurement team, which has a strong culture, leadership, and opportunities for progression.

Due to expansion, they are seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to join their collaborative team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop procurement skills within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support framework mini-competitions, direct contract awards, and DPS tenders
  • Ensure contract compliance with public regulations and meet members' needs
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager on contracts and tenders
  • Build relationships with internal teams and external clients

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience in procurement or related roles, ready to progress
  • Knowledge of DPS, e-procurement, and frameworks
  • Understanding of public sector regulations (PCR 2015/Procurement Act)
  • Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn and grow
  • Strong work ethic, ability to manage multiple priorities
