Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Private Capital Corporate Tax team in Scotland. You will manage a diverse portfolio, covering owner‑managed businesses, private equity backed entities and large groups, handling corporate tax compliance and advisory work.

You will supervise junior staff, report to Partners/Directors, and collaborate with Audit and other teams. The role emphasises client relationship building, business development and delivering high‑quality tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ATT/CTA with corporate tax experience.
• Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed, private equity backed and large groups' corporate tax affairs.
• Oversee and review work by junior team members and report to Partners/Directors.
• Deliver corporate tax compliance, tax accounting/audit of tax, and co‑ordinate with audit colleagues.
• Support business development and contribute to pitches/proposals.
