Thank you for your interest in our recent advertisement for the above position at Archway Learning Trust. I have pleasure in enclosing details.

The role of Assistant Principal - School Improvement at Archway Learning Trust is an exciting opportunity for a highly credible and agile leader who is motivated by helping schools embed consistent, high-quality practice that makes a tangible difference to pupils. This role sits at the heart of our ambition to deliver exceptional, inclusive education across all our academies.

At Archway, we are committed to securing excellence for every child through strong leadership, aligned systems and a culture of collaboration, professional trust and continuous improvement. As our Trust continues to refine and strengthen its approaches, the Assistant Principal - School Improvement plays a vital role in ensuring that Trust strategies are implemented with fidelity and impact at school level.

We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of securing school improvement - someone credible, adaptable and able to apply their leadership to any aspect of school improvement. The breadth of the role is a genuine strength: you will turn your hand wherever leadership is needed, providing modelling, coaching, guidance and targeted intervention to strengthen practice, systems and outcomes.

This is a hands‑on, implementation‑focused and impact‑driven role, ensuring that Trust expectations translate into sustained improvements in classrooms and wider provision.

The successful candidate will be committed to the students and academy life and will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students that they are required to work with.

The growth and development of our Multi‑Academy Trust makes this an excellent opportunity to join us, as we seek to serve a growing number of young people across the region.

In return we can offer:

  • Archway benefits to include shopping discounts and competitions
  • A free and confidential employee assistance programme offering counselling and advice
  • Access to Teachers’ Pensions schemes
  • Access to discounted travel schemes
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Comprehensive training and support
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career
  • Eye care voucher scheme
  • Free flu vaccine
  • Access to e‑learning and development

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to the satisfactory completion of an enhanced DBS check, Barred List check, the receipt of satisfactory references and any other statutory checks that are required for the post. We are an equal opportunities employer.
