Job summary

Elmwood Normal School is seeking a highly competent teacher to provide leadership and support to our teaching team and general staff. The successful applicant will bring strong organisational, interpersonal and collaborative skills to drive school improvement.

You will take a lead role as SENCO, offering educational and wellbeing guidance to staff, students and whānau, with a focus on behaviour management and transition to school programmes. Additional responsibilities to be negotiated.

Qualifications

  • Extensive curriculum knowledge across multiple subjects.

We are seeking a highly competent teacher who has the capability and experience to provide leadership and support to our teaching team and general staff. We seek an innovative professional with excellent organisational, interpersonal and collaborative skills. The successful applicant will have recent senior leadership experience, extensive curriculum knowledge and teaching practice within a junior team.

You will be responsible for taking a lead role as our school SENCO, providing educational and wellbeing support and guidance to staff, students and whānau. Strengths in behaviour management, the provision of alternative specialist teaching programmes and experience with transition to school programmes. Additional responsibilities to be negotiated.
