Job summary

Star Academies is seeking an Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning to lead strategic direction and development. You will help create and implement plans to raise standards, ensure progress, and increase teaching effectiveness across the school.

The role requires a degree-level qualification and QTS, plus proven experience in managing a high-achieving faculty and delivering sustained attainment gains, with a strong commitment to the Star values.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating and implementing a strategic plan with priorities and targets to raise standards and progress.

• Make decisions based on data analysis and interpretation to drive improvement.
• Perform other duties as discussed with the Principal.

Assist in the creation and implementation of a strategic plan which identifies priorities and targets for ensuring that students achieve high standards and make progress, increasing teachers’ effectiveness and securing school improvement.

Ensure that all those involved in the school are committed to its aims, motivated to achieve them and involved in meeting long, medium- and short-term objectives and targets which secure the educational success of the school.

Assist with the implementation of all policies and procedures relating to safeguarding.

Make decisions based upon analysis, interpretation and understanding of relevant data and information.

Perform other duties determined in discussion with the Principal.

You will have:

• A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience of effective management of a high-achieving faculty.
• Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
