Dueto a retirement we are recruiting to a Band 4 assistant practitioner role. This is a great opportunity to join ourhighly motivated and innovative team based in Worcestershire.

As a county wide speech and language therapyteam, we offer a strong commitment to supporting personal and professionaldevelopment with ongoing mentor support, supervision and CPD opportunities.

This is a full time post

Main duties of the job

We are a well-established team offering a rangeof services for 0-19 year olds. Thispost will involve working within our early years, mainstream schools andcomplex needs teams in Worcestershire, working alongside speech and languagetherapists and other speech and language therapy assistants to deliveruniversal, targeted and specialist level support. It will include:

Workingwith families, demonstrating practical ways to support children

Visitsto schools to set up targeted and specialist interventions and share resources

Deliveryof targeted and specialist interventions in settings and schools

Resourcedevelopment

Workingwithin our SLTA team to develop our service

Experience
  • Significant experience working within a relevant clinical service as a senior HCA / HCSW
Qualifications
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (or alternative equivalent award e.g. Higher National Diploma (HND) or BTEC (level 4)
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Additional Criteria
  • Ability to travel efficiently to meet the needs of the job, travelling from setting to setting.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English and in both verbal and written formats.
