This role is based at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, one of the UK's largest healthcare systems, employing around 40,000 staff. The service provides acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million regionally and nationally.
The successful candidate will join the West of Scotland Breast Screening Service, which offers mammography screening to 300,000 women on a three-year cycle across static and mobile units. The service covers Greater Glasgow, Argyll and Clyde, Lanarkshire, and West Forth Valley Health Boards.
The role involves delivering high-quality, person-centered mammography screening services, including direct patient care under supervision. The shift pattern is Monday to Sunday, 08:00 to 20:00, with flexible extended hours. The position is part-time, with salary pro-rata.
Requirements include:
Experience in NHS settings is desirable. The post may be an Annex 21 post depending on qualifications.
