A leading NHS Trust in the UK is searching for a Cleanroom Supervisor to oversee the preparation of IV medicines. Weare looking for a Cleanroom Supervisor to join a rapidly growing team thatprovides Ready to Administer IV medicines from our busy unit at Moor House,Hunslet. We operate under an MHRA specials licence providing high qualitypharmaceutical IV medicines to patients throughout the trust.
Thesuccessful applicant will be responsible for in-process supervision andreconciliation of Ready to Administer products to the patients in the Trust,which supports the nursing staff at ward level. Although this post has nodirect patient contact, the service we provide offers high qualitypharmaceutical products to help our patients.

Allcandidates must have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services. Previous experiencein a pharmacy aseptic preparative service will be an advantage, however fulltraining will be provided for the right candidate.

Thisrole involves the direct supervision of the preparation of Ready toAdminister IV medicines including pre and in process checking and supervisionof staff. You will also be involved in reconciling and visually inspecting IVmedicines.
Youwill support the Specialist and Higher-Level Technicians by helping to planthe days work, ensure all batches are prepared according to standardoperating procedures, and model Good Manufacturing Practice at all times.
Toperform in this role, you will need to have good manual dexterity and a highability to concentrate whilst maintaining accuracy. There is also arequirement to wear PPE.
Youwill also be involved in training and development within the team. Experienceof training others may be beneficial.
Thepost is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly over a4-day working week (Monday to Friday) but the post holder must work until 7pmas part of some of the shifts. You will also be expected to participate inBank Holidays and Weekends on a rota basis.

Worksunder guidance of SOPs, GMP and COSHH and works independently:
Responsiblefor the day to day supervision and co-ordination of aseptic staff andpreparation and dispensing activities within clean rooms.
Isguided by defined protocols and procedures and ensures work activities are inaccordance with these.
Evaluatescircumstances and situations and makes well judged decisions on theinformation at hand but is aware when refer to more senior supervisors andmanagers
Organisesand prioritises work within assembly and preparation areas covering fasttrack and routine service requirements.
Isresponsible for the process checking of medicinal materials and measureddoses including the preparation of clinical trials; and is responsible forensuring the accuracy and quality of these prepared medicinal products.
Responsiblefor the safe use of equipment within clean rooms, ensuring clean room staffuse equipment in accordance with instructions and SOPs
Ensuresthat all required functional tests, inspections and verifications are carriedout on clean room equipment before and after work sessions. Reports equipmentfaults and deviations and ensures that deviations are authorised and recordsare diligently completed.
Ensuresall statutory legislation and established quality systems relating todepartmental policies and procedures are complied with on a day to day basis.
Liaiseswith other supervisory staff, speciality team leaders and management on aregular basis to ensure optimum efficiency and quality of service.
Assistsin staff training and development
Contributesto the development of new ways of working and to the implementation of newand revised policies and procedures
Documents,labels, assemble, prepare and dispense aseptic medicines to patients, wardsand clinics, including controlled drugs and clinical trials. Maintainscorrect documentation and audit trails.
Participatesin stock control, assist in ordering processes for medicines and consumables,including requisitioning, unpacking, checking and booking in.
Resolvesimmediate problems with out of stock medicines, liaising with wards,pharmacists and suppliers where necessary.
Carriesout reception duties to include: - handling incoming calls and routineenquiries, booking work in and out of the pharmacy logger system.
Performsclerical tasks associated with the dispensary e.g. filing, expiry date checksand data collection for statistics.
Participatesin general housekeeping e.g. cleaning and tidying of work areas.
Participatesin the weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.
Undertakesother duties associated with providing an efficient Pharmacy Service topatients and wards as allocated by specialist pharmacy technicians.
