A premier healthcare provider in London seeks a skilled Assistant Practitioner to oversee patient results management, provide direct patient care, and mentor junior team members within a vibrant sexual health clinic. The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in an NHS setting, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills. The role requires flexibility with evening and weekend shifts.
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the employer for this role. 56 Dean Street is an award winning HIV and Sexual Health service based in Soho in the heart of London's West End. We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Assistant Practitioner to join our team.
The main aspect of the role is results management that includes the recall of patients with sexually transmitted infections requiring treatment, and/or partner notification. The role also encompasses clinical duties including direct patient care under supervision. This involves assisting the multi professional team in the delivery of a high standard of care to patients attending for Sexual, reproductive and HIV health care. Other aspects include housekeeping and administration duties which involves overseeing the maintenance of a safe environment for both patients and staff. As an Assistant Practitioner you will have a role in the mentoring and leadership of more junior members of the team.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work with a team in an innovative sexual health setting.
In return you will join a team of friendly skilled experienced Health Advisors, Doctors, sexual health / HIV nurses, and admin staff responsible for delivering a high standard of care to patients. We have a full in-house and Multidisciplinary Education programme.
The post holders will be expected to work flexibly within the clinic and includes evening and weekend work.
