  • Oversee EMIS appointment book management.
  • Support data extraction and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor GP Appointment Data needs using various systems.
  • Assist with managing the practice website.
  • Support ongoing management of Patient Participation Group activities.
  • Manage and update PCSE portal.
  • Oversee all workflow areas.
  • Address complex IT issues and provide training.
  • Support HR functions including recruitment and staff appraisals.
  • Ensure timely update and resolution of items logged to GP Team Net.
  • Address initial complaints and follow investigations.
  • Assist Practice Manager and attend meetings as needed.
  • Support reactive IT issues management.
Job description
Overview

The post holder will support the practice operationally and form part of the management and operational team. They will be dynamic, efficient and proactive and undertake a range of duties to facilitate and enhance day to day working for all staff and the practice as a whole. They will work closely with the Practice Manager and partners to deliver high quality care and excellent customer service to patients. They will help create and work to dedicated practice policies, protocols and procedures in relation to efficient and effective processes and help to ensure excellent communication across the practice at all times. They will be reactive to issues and take steps to help resolve these quickly.

Responsibilities
  • EMIS appointment book oversight and management.
  • Supporting the data extraction, verification and reporting requirements of QoF, PMS contract, locally contracted services and enhanced services.
  • Monitoring and addressing the needs of GP Appointment Data using Ardens, GPAD, Apex and others.
  • Assisting with management of the practice website.
  • Supporting the ongoing management of the PPG and any work such as patient surveys.
  • Management and update of PCSE portal.
  • Oversight and management of all workflow areas.
  • Addressing complex IT issues, system upgrades and implementation, providing training to staff.
  • Supporting the Practice Manager with HR including recruitment, staff appraisals, performance, training and so on.
  • Ensuring all items logged to GP Team Net are kept up to date and addressed within required timescales (e.g., alerts, significant events, policies, premises).
  • Addressing initial complaints and responding appropriately following investigation.
  • Support the Practice Manager when required, including attending meetings.
  • Supporting the Ops lead with reactive IT issues including laptops and smartcard management.
  • Establishing and updating EMIS templates, protocols and searches.
