This role offers a challenging opportunity to harness the buying power of over £1.5 billion spent annually across NHS Scotland. National Procurement, the Procurement Centre of Expertise for Health, collaborates with health boards to ensure high standards of patient care through a wide range of goods and services via national contracts and distribution services.
The Eurocentral facility operates in a 122,000 sq ft warehouse with various shift patterns, including day/back shift rotation and a permanent night shift. The successful candidate will primarily work dayshift (08:00 - 16:00) but must be flexible for extended hours as needed.
This is a Modern Apprenticeship role open to individuals aged 16-24, or 16-29 for disabled or care-experienced applicants. It is also open to NSS staff meeting the role requirements. Your responsibilities include controlling and planning inbound stock, managing inter-site stock movements, ensuring stock availability, and meeting delivery timescales, while adhering to health, safety, and security procedures.
Essential qualities include the ability to develop new skills, follow instructions, work as part of a team, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

37 hours per week. Residency within the UK is a condition of employment.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, salary will be at point 1 of the Band 4 scale.
