The Role:

As an Assistant Planner, you will focus on working closely within Group Planning and cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, Product Development, and Commercial teams. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with a strong attention to detail and a love of retail and merchandise. You will work independently to deliver a production plan while also collaborating within Group Planning and cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a production plan by SKU for release, based on forecasting and data analysis from the demand plan.
  2. Compile, communicate, and monitor the planning critical path for seasonal production.
  3. Validate supply and demand to ensure planned fulfillment is maximized across all sales channels/regions, supporting allocation planning for key launches and contingency scenarios wherever necessary.
  4. Validate group stock levels and report future stock positions to ensure group stocks are managed responsibly.
  5. Manage the Free-To-Sell model and minimize oversold items, reviewing shipping priorities/options.
  6. Support special projects/initiatives across all product divisions wherever necessary.
Corporate Department General Duties:
  1. Prepare, issue and maintain the Reporting Suite to the business on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis.
  2. Support S&OP meetings; drive positive change culture within the business.
  3. Develop new reports as required by the business/department.
  4. Ensure the integrity of Prima (ERP) and Business Objects (Analysis Tool).

  2. Support the Group Planning Department with ad hoc tasks where appropriate.
Skills and Experience Required:
  1. Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Excel.
  2. Significant experience working in planning, sourcing, or buying & merchandising.
  3. Proven ability to understand and analyse large amounts of data ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Proven ability to structure technical/complex information to ensure stakeholders understand the key messages.
  5. Excellent inter-personal skills, and ability to communicate and influence all levels of the business.
  6. Excellent prioritisation skills with the proven ability to adopt a flexible approach to work.
  7. Able to assume responsibility for tasks and workload, and work using own initiative.
  8. A desire to take on more responsibility and develop the role.
Other:

Travel between our London and Somerset sites will be required to ensure collaborative working with key stakeholders.
