Construction Planner – Groundworks & RC Frame

Based in Surrey | Up to £45,000 + Package | ️ Leading Civil Engineering Contractor

A well-established contractor, specialising in groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) frame projects, is looking for an Assistant Construction Planner to join their Pre-Construction team at their head office in Surrey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in planning or a strong site background looking to take the next step in a planning-focused role. Projects range from £1m to £50m across London and the Southeast, offering real variety and scale.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Develop robust and competitive tender programmes for RC frame and groundworks schemes

Review enquiry documentation and define programme strategies

Create fully linked ASTA Powerproject programmes with critical path analysis

Support construction sequencing, logistics, and resource planning

Collaborate with the delivery team on pre-start planning and project handovers

Assist in crane analysis, cut & fill phasing, and resource histograms

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in construction planning or a strong background in site delivery

Solid knowledge of groundworks/RC frame construction processes

Proficiency in ASTA Powerproject or Primavera/P6

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Strong analytical thinking and the ability to meet deadlines

Ideal Requirements:

HNC/Degree in Construction or related trade qualifications

Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English

Valid CSCS card
