An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 4 Assistant Physiotherapy Practitioner to join our experienced, dedicated and forward-thinking team at MKUH.
The role of the Assistant Physiotherapy Practitioner is to be primarily responsible for providing project, transformation and administrative and clinical support contributing to the development and promotion of perinatal pelvic health, both within the inpatient postnatal ward and outpatient settings.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who has existing experience within a physiotherapy and/or healthcare environment.
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate the core values of the NHS and the establishment in which they work, reducing health inequalities and improving health outcomes for all.

Main duties of the jobYou will work collaboratively with the Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapists & maternity staff to provide public health advice & support to women during their pregnancy & up to one year postnatally. The main focus will be to support women locally to improve the prevention, identification & treatment of "mild to moderate" pelvic floor dysfunction during and following birth & ultimately reduce the number of women living with pelvic floor dysfunction postnatally & in later life.
