What you would be doing
  • Proactively working in partnership with managers and providing day-to-day advice/guidance, and tactical solutions on a range of employee‑related issues (i.e., sickness absence, performance improvement, capability, probation).
  • Build trust and strong relationships with managers to ensure that timely action is taken in accordance with People policies, statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Proactively uses data and reporting to support managers with key information that informs decisions and actions.
What we are looking for
  • HR professional with experience in either a generalist or specialist environment, including operational exposure to the application of employment law, case management, and organisational change management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best‑practice approaches to HR processes.
  • Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and develop a range of solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to quickly grasp information and communicate clearly, concisely, sensitively, assertively, and diplomatically, with the ability to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders.
What we can offer you
  • The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity.
  • Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 41 days’ annual leave (pro rata) and generous pension schemes).
  • Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Interest-free season ticket loan schemes for travel.
  • Be part of a diverse, inclusive and collaborative work culture with various staff networks and resources to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
