What will you be doing?
- Benefit calculations, either manually, using a proforma, or through the pension's administration system calculation routine.
- Working through relevant checklists for each case and following procedures.
- Ensuring appropriate authorisation before releasing information.
- Preparing bulk mailings such as annual newsletters and pension increase notices.
- Communicating with members and third parties.
- Gaining and applying knowledge of clients through daily work, colleague communication, and referencing the scheme's administration guide and notes.
- Understanding scheme-specific details and their applicability.
- Ensuring compliance with LCP procedures.
- Keeping updated with legislative changes.
- Understanding concepts like preservation, statutory increases, contracting-out (including GMPs), and pensions tax regime.
- Drafting non-standard letters as needed.
- Recognising non-standard cases (e.g., part-timers).
- Applying GDPR principles at all times.
