Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Pastry Chef to join our Executive Pastry Chef to help lead the Pastry & Afternoon Tea Team.

A little more about what you will be doing:

1. To ensure the smooth running of the Pastry Department, ensuring that all areas are maintained to Fairmont St Andrews standards.
2. Together with the Executive Pastry Chef to supervise and coordinate the training of other pastry staff.
3. To be able to motivate staff.
4. To cook any food on a daily basis according to business requirements.
5. To write and check standard recipes for all dishes to ensure proper portion control, uniformity of taste and quality for approval of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

1. Experience in a similar role is a must and experience in a five-star hotel would be preferential.
2. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
