Job summary

A local educational institution in Chichester is seeking a Pastoral Support Worker to join their caring team. Qualifications

Overview

As part of the pastoral team responsible for the welfare of our pupils, you will liaise with tutors, teachers, parents and support agencies to support pupil wellbeing and behaviour and to address safeguarding and wellbeing concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Support Heads of Year with student wellbeing and behaviour
  • Support KS3 and KS4 Pastoral Support Manager with safeguarding and wellbeing concerns
  • Help run restorative and inclusion rooms
  • Liaise with tutors, teachers, parents and support agencies to promote pupil welfare
  • Work with students across year groups, including those most vulnerable and in need of support
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience of working with young people, restorative justice and safeguarding procedures would be an advantage
