Job summary

Greenstead Evangelical Free Church in Colchester is seeking a full-time Assistant Pastor to help proclaim Jesus, disciple believers and reach the city with the gospel.

The role focuses on discipling individuals, supporting the Pastor, and building a culture of discipleship across the church, with involvement in preaching, service leading and ministry teams, as well as evangelism and Life Groups.

Qualifications

• Must be a spiritually mature Christian man aligned with GEFC beliefs.
• Gifted in expository preaching and pastoral ministry.
• Relates well across cultures and backgrounds and is eager to serve in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Work to build a culture of discipleship across the church.
• Share regular preaching and service leading.
• Encourage and develop evangelism across the church.
• Strengthen Life Groups as a key context for care and growth.
• Support and develop ministry teams.
• Contribute to new ministry initiatives.
• Participate in church operations and administration
