Job summary

Omni RMS is seeking an Assistant Package Manager to support delivery of a major infrastructure project in London. You will coordinate construction activities across structural and building envelope works, engaging with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.

This role is ideal for graduates or early-career professionals looking to build experience on large-scale packages and develop into Package or Project Management roles within a dynamic site

Qualifications

  • Experience in a construction or infrastructure environment (graduate or early career level)
  • Exposure to structures and/or building envelope works
  • Understanding of construction sequencing and programme management principles
  • Awareness of health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced site environment
  • Competent with digital tools, BIM, and construction management systems

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of subcontract packages from pre-construction through to delivery
  • Assist with planning, short-term programming, and progress tracking
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Monitor site activities, identify risks/issues, and contribute to solutions
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes, inspections, and issue resolution
  • Support logistics planning and material coordination
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Package Manager to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project. You will play a key role in coordinating construction activities across structural and building envelope works, working closely with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build on early construction experience while gaining exposure to complex, large-scale packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of subcontract packages from pre-construction through to delivery
  • Assist with planning, short-term programming, and progress tracking
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Monitor site activities, identify risks/issues, and contribute to solutions
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes, inspections, and issue resolution
  • Support logistics planning and material coordination
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
Required Experience & Skills
  • Experience within a construction or infrastructure environment (graduate or early career level considered)
  • Exposure to structures and/or building envelope works
  • Understanding of construction sequencing and programme management principles
  • Awareness of health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced site environment
  • Competent with digital tools, BIM, and construction management systems
Package Experience (Highly Desirable)

Candidates should have experience working with at least one of the following packages:

  • Doors (internal & external systems, ironmongery, fire-rated assemblies)
  • Structural Steel (primary and secondary steelwork, connections, erection sequencing)
  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health services installation and coordination)
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • CSCS card (or working towards)
