Job description

Taylor Woodrow is seeking to recruit an Assistant Package Manager.

We are involved in constructing HS2’s new Old Oak Common Station, set to be the UK’s most connected and largest railway station, becoming a vital transport hub.

The station will feature 14 platforms, including six high-speed and eight conventional service platforms, with an 850m-long station box. It is anticipated to be one of the busiest railway stations, offering high-speed rail services to the Midlands, Scotland, the North, and access to central London and Heathrow via the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.

Duties

• Conductability reviews
• Analysis of construction sequence and programme
• Interface analysis, risk identification, and clash resolution
• Research and implementation of Value Engineering proposals & innovations
• Preparation of scope, SWI, and procurement documentation
• Scope gap and change identification
• Monitoring subcontractors’ quality assurance and closing non-conformances
• Managing Activity Readiness certification
• Documentation management and liaising with the wider BBVS team
• Ensuring safe, healthy, and environmentally sound delivery of works
• Maintaining daily diaries and progress reports
• Liaising with subcontractors to resolve clashes
• Accurate reporting and documentation of work progress and resource activity
• Acting as the main contact point for BBVS package managers on site

Person Specification

• BSc, MSc, or BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent GNVQ
• CSCS certification
• Experience in related environments and activities (preferred)
• SMSTS certification
• PTS certification
• Membership of a professional institution such as ICE
• Knowledge of contracts and notifiable events (NEC3)
• Experience in large infrastructure civil engineering projects
