A healthcare organization in Bristol is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee recruitment, staff management, and training processes. This role involves coordinating inductions, managing annual leave, and supporting clinical team leaders. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and be capable of handling HR queries. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective performance management of staff, including conducting exit interviews and maintaining training records.
Manage the recruitment and selection process for new staff in conjunction with relevant clinical team leads and practice staff, including advertising, interviews, safeguarding/DBS checks, references, and issuing formal job offers and contracts.
Plan and coordinate the delivery of the induction process for new staff, in conjunction with relevant clinical team leads and practice staff.
Ensure the delivery of a workplan including probationary targets agreed with relevant clinical team leads and practice staff.
Support clinical leads in facilitating timely probationary reviews, confirming in post or setting targets for improvement if necessary.
Manage requests for annual leave and study leave, ensuring records are maintained according to PCN processes.
Oversee the statutory/mandatory training programme for Prescribing Hub Manager and Non-registered ARRS Staff, including organizing sessions with external providers and recording attendance.
Manage staff sickness and return-to-work processes, recording them according to PCN processes and in collaboration with relevant clinical team leads.
Advise and support clinical team lead supervisors and/or Clinical Director on performance management, including annual appraisals and training needs analysis.
Assist in implementing processes for disciplinary, capability, sickness, and grievance issues.
Organize and facilitate team meetings, learning events, and the PCN education series.
Provide staff updates on policy and procedural changes.
Respond to HR queries and support staff requests promptly.
Coordinate staff away days and social events, or deputize for the Operations Manager when necessary.
Manage staff performance issues, including annual reviews, discipline, and grievances, or deputize for the Operations Manager when needed.
Conduct exit interviews and manage handover procedures at employment end.
