Job Summary:

Square Enix Europe is seeking an Assistant German-speaking Community Manager to support the ongoing development of FINAL FANTASY XIV online through social channels and community initiatives. The role involves creating and analyzing community campaigns, supporting community programs, and engaging with fans.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and German, highly organized, motivated, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage users on the German FINAL FANTASY XIV social channels with high-quality creative writing, monitor growth, and recommend initiatives based on trends.
  2. Translate and proofread German texts as needed.
  3. Utilize social monitoring tools to evaluate communication success and understand community sentiment.
  4. Support marketing and PR activations across various channels.
  5. Provide community feedback and insights to the team.
  6. Relay feedback and bug reports to the Japanese development teams.
  7. Create high-quality assets (images/videos) for channels.
  8. Plan, direct, and host streaming broadcasts.
  9. Organize and support game conventions and fan events.
  10. Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Active player of FINAL FANTASY XIV.
  • Fluent in English and German, with strong creative writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience managing impactful social media campaigns, especially in entertainment/gaming.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and online community etiquette.
  • Team player with professionalism and adaptability.
  • Proactive, organized, and creative thinker.
  • Willing to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Interest in Square Enix titles and online multiplayer games.
  • Experience working with Japanese companies is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.
  • Experience with streaming technology and event support.
  • Japanese language skills or additional languages are advantageous.
