A leading public services trade union seeks an Assistant National Organiser to support their 'Organising to Win' strategy. This full-time temporary role requires advanced organising skills and the ability to work collaboratively while also accommodating some lone work. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary reflective of London's living costs and will contribute to the union's objectives through strategic activity.
The primary purpose of the roles will be to support the planning and delivery of successful workplace and remote organising activity in line with the Unison “Organising to Win” strategy and help develop organising skills, capacity, and best practice across the union.

The post holders will be based in the National Strategic Organising Unit at UNISON Centre, reporting to a National Organiser and will work alongside regional and service group colleagues.
Strategic Organising Unit activity is constantly evaluated to ensure best practice and key lessons are captured and shared with the wider union. Activity is generally team based but some lone working will be required.
SOU organisers can be deployed to any region for periods of priority activity and campaigns in support of UNISON objectives.
An advanced level of organising skill and experience is required for this role as is a willingness to travel and work in collaboration with colleagues across the union
